Ballintubber Abbey

Ballintubber, Co. Mayo

Dating back to 1216 visitors to the abbey can see the original altar, restored nave and the beautiful stained glass. It is also home to St. Patrick’s Well and is the starting point for the Tóchar Phádraig pilgrim path.

Join tour guide Muriel for a free tour every Wednesday at 11am. Open daily from 9am - 9pm. Admission free.

Cong Village

The Quiet Man Museum and Walking Tour offers visitors a wonderful guided walking tour to the original Quiet Man movie locations and the Quiet Man Museum which features original movie memorabilia and an exact replica of White O’Morn cottage and film set.

The museum is open every day from 10am – 4pm and tours depart at 12 noon daily. Walking tour and admission to museum: €15 or €5.50 for museum only.
